Description:

Position Purpose:

The nurse assistant provides patient care under the supervision of the registered nurse. This care focuses on personal hygiene, nutritional needs, and activities of daily living.

Hours:

PRN / AS NEEDED

Position Qualifications:

Education: Successful completion of a formal Nurse Aide course/training verified through transcript or original program certificate of completion, required.

Or currently enrolled in an A.D.N., B.S.N., program with successful completion of the first semester of A.D.N. program, or first year of nursing courses in BSN, or graduate of an A.D.N., Diploma, BSN, or LPN program.

Preferred: Registered on the State of Iowa Nurse Aide registry listing as “Active” or eligible.

Experience: Nursing Assistant experience preferred.

Skills: Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, flexible to meet department needs, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
