Job summary

Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge, part of Covenant Health, is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant for the Flex Pool. This Full Time night shift position offers a 72 hours per pay period schedule at our Oak Ridge facility.

The CNA will record vital signs, assist with personal care, deliver meals, help with ambulation, and support patient transfers and safety. CPR/Provider C and Tennessee CNA certification are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must have completed a hospital-approved formal training program.
• Must read with comprehension, write legibly, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Must be certified as a Nurse Aide in Tennessee and CPR/Provider C.

Responsibilities

• Take and record patients' vital signs.
• Provide personal care to patients and assist with ambulation.
• Deliver meal trays and assist with feeding when needed.
• Assist with lifting, moving, transferring and discharging patients.
• Respond promptly to patient calls and restock supplies.
• Observe changes in patient condition and report to nursing staff.
• Maintain clean, safe, and orderly patient areas.
