Job summary

Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital is seeking a Nurse Assistant to support patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will perform focused patient care duties, contribute to care plans, and respond to emergent situations while upholding the Henry Ford Health System standards.

This role emphasizes teamwork, ongoing education, and making a positive impact in our Downriver community at a historic hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of a Nurse Assistant program or enrollment in nursing studies.
• Foreign trained and licensed RN without a Michigan RN license may apply.
• Medical Assistant program with or without experience is considered.
• At least one year of previous experience in a similar role is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care duties under RN supervision to meet safety and comfort needs.
• Provide input to assist the RN in planning and implementing patient care.
• Respond to emergent situations according to established procedures.
• Participate in continuing education to enhance patient care.
• Uphold the Henry Ford Health System Team Member Standards of Excellence in all interactions.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Completion of a Nurse Assistant program (e.g., Patient Care Technician or Patient Assistant Technician) OR currently enrolled in a nursing program with successful completion of Fundamentals of Nursing OR foreign trained and licensed RN without a Michigan RN license OR Medical Assistant program with or without experience OR at least one year of previous experience in a similar role.

Preferred Qualifications

• CNA certification preferred.
