Job summary

Nurse Assistant - Henry Ford Health Novi Hospital is seeking dedicated individuals to join our patient care team. This 36-hour-per-week role runs 7:00 am to 7:30 pm, supporting RNs with essential duties and ensuring patient safety and comfort in a busy hospital setting.

Under RN supervision, you will assist in care planning, respond to emergent situations, and participate in ongoing education. A high school diploma or GED and completion of a Nurse Assistant program are required; CNA

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of a Nurse Assistant program or enrollment in a nursing program.
• Foreign trained RN licensed outside Michigan without a Michigan RN license.
• Medical Assistant program completion with or without experience.
• At least one year of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Provide specific patient care duties under RN supervision to meet safety and comfort needs.
• Assist the RN in planning and implementing patient care.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Completion of a Nurse Assistant program (e.g., Patient Care Technician or Patient Assistant Technician) OR currently enrolled in a nursing program with successful completion of Fundamentals of Nursing OR foreign trained and licensed RN without a Michigan RN license OR Medical Assistant program with or without experience OR at least one year of previous experience in a similar role.

Preferred Qualifications

• CNA certification preferred.
