Job summary

Right at Home Cleveland West is seeking caregivers to provide companionship and support in NW Cuyahoga and Lorain Counties. We value compassionate, reliable individuals who love helping others.

We offer flexible scheduling, mileage and travel-time reimbursements, referral bonuses, and paid training with job shadowing. Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, mobility, meals, transportation, and light homemaking with a focus on safety.

Qualifications

• Compassionate and reliable caregiving approach.
• Six months caregiving or Personal Care Assistant experience.
• CPR certification recommended.
• Valid driver’s license and access to insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship to clients.
• Assist clients with ambulation.
• Prevent client falls through safety and supervision.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Prepare/cook meals for clients.
• Drive clients to appointments or errands.
• Light housekeeping tasks.
• Help meet nutritional standards.
• Perform homemaking duties (vacuuming, dishes, laundry, etc.).

Caregiver Responsibilities Include :

• Provide companionship to clients
• Assist clients with ambulation
• Prevent client falls through safety and supervision
• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
• Prep/cook meals for clients
• Drive clients to doctor's appointments/ errands/ activities
• Light housekeeping
• Help client meet nutritional standards
• Performs homemaking activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning bathrooms.

Qualifications

1. High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate.
2. Six months experience as a Personal Care Assistant in healthcare (in homes or facilities).
3. Successful completion of state-approved Nurse Aide or Personal Care Assistant course.
4. Current CPR Certificate is recommended.
5. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job.
6. Possess a valid driver's license and have use of an insured automobile.

Compensation: $16.00 to $18.00 per hour
