Job summary

University of Utah Health is seeking a patient-focused individual to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role supports patients and families and prepares for promotion to a Clinical Nurse position after licensure in Utah.

Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, developing care plans, educating families, and maintaining safe, clean environments. The position requires flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential within 30 days of hire.
• Current license to practice as a Temporary RN Apprentice in Utah or Temporary Graduate Nurse in Utah.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and re-evaluate interventions under RN supervision.
• Formulate care plans and document nursing process in patient’s record.
• Educate patients and families about post-discharge care.
• Keep current on advances in nursing care and participate in education programs.
• Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADL).
• Provide a safe and clean patient care environment and assist with related tasks.
• Perform unit-specific duties and work rotating shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
