University Medical Center of Southern Nevada (UMC) is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to provide high-quality anesthesia care within a Level I Trauma Center. This position involves preparing and administering anesthetics, monitoring patient safety, and maintaining detailed patient records, utilizing strong assessment skills and effective communication. The ideal candidate is required to have a Master's or Doctorate in nursing, relevant certifications, and is expected to work collaboratively in a high-stakes clinical environment.
This position is considered At-Will and will serve at the pleasure of the CEO.

We are home to Nevada's ONLY Level I Trauma Center, Designated Pediatric Trauma Center, Burn Care Center, and Transplant Center. We are a Pathway Designated facility by ANCC, and we are on our journey to Magnet status.
Prepares prescribed solutions and administers anesthetic following specified methods and procedures. Informs physician of patient's condition during anesthesia. Performs pre-and post-anesthesia patient visits and documents anesthesia notes on patient records.
THIS IS A REFERRAL BONUS-ELIGIBLE POSITION FOR INTERNAL EMPLOYEES
Master's or Doctorate Degree in nursing from an accredited MSN program with a CRNA program and licensed to practice as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist.
Post-Master's certification from a COA-accredited Nurse Anesthesia Educational Program is required. Pediatric anesthesia experience is preferred but not required.
Anesthesiology scope of practice and core competencies; current evidence and standards of anesthesiology nursing care within the specialty area; hospital practice and documentation standards; department and hospital policies and procedures; patient rights; workplace safety; infection prevention; storage, use, and disposal of hazardous materials; emergency response, etc.
Patient assessment, analyzing health records before administering anesthetics to ensure safety and effectiveness; accessing and interpreting electronic health records; managing complex tasks; using computer software/applications; maintaining accurate records; preparing reports; effective communication; establishing working relationships; and safe use of equipment.
Mobility to work in a clinical setting; stamina to stand or walk for extended periods; strength to examine and treat patients; vision for reading materials and screens; hearing and speech for communication; ability to exert force as needed; reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.
