Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a qualified nursing educator to develop and deliver nurse anesthesia coursework aligned with accreditation standards. The role emphasizes curriculum development, simulation-based learning, and student mentorship in a DNP-NA program.

Responsibilities include teaching didactic and clinical courses, supporting admissions, collaborating with leadership on accreditation, and promoting diversity and student well-being in both academic and clinical activities.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree (PhD, DNP, DNAP, or EdD) in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Current certification or recertification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) by the NBCRNA.
• Currently licensed to practice as a registered nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the Interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience as a CRNA.
• Commitment to excellence in teaching and student support in graduate nurse anesthesia education.
• PA State Police Criminal Background Check
• PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form
• Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check
• Submit a cover letter, current curriculum vitae, and contact information for three professional references.
• Preferred: prior academic teaching experience in a nurse anesthesia program.
• Preferred: experience in simulation-based instruction and clinical skills education.
• Preferred: experience mentoring DNP or graduate nursing students

Responsibilities

• Develop new coursework for the nurse anesthesia program aligned with accreditation standards.
• Review and realign scholarly project coursework with the DNP-NA curriculum through course development and editing.
• Provide instruction in nurse anesthesia didactic and clinical courses.
• Develop and deliver simulation-based learning experiences aligned with program competencies and accreditation standards.
• Facilitate student learning in basic sciences, anesthesia principles, scholarly projects, and clinical practicum.
• Mentor students in developing and implementing DNP scholarly projects.
• Serve on DNP scholarly project committees.
• Support student mentorship, academic advising, and professional development.
• Contribute to curriculum development, accreditation efforts, and continuous quality improvement.
• Support the DNP-NA admissions process and applicant selection.
• Promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and well-being in academic and clinical activities.
• Collaborate with the DNP-NA leadership team to support program accreditation, student success, and clinical partnerships
