Lutheran SeniorLife in Mars, PA is inviting applicants for Nurse Aide Trainee (NAT). You will start as a Caregiver for at least 3 months in a full- or part-time role, then join a paid 5-week training (6:45 a.m. – 3:15 p.m., Mon–Thu) to prepare for the state CNA exam and transition to CNA.

Qualifications

• Completion of the PA State Nurse Aide Training Program or equivalent as determined by the PA Department of Education.
• Must take and pass the NA competency test within 120 days from the date of hire into the Nurse Aide Training Program.
• Individuals without certification must demonstrate eligibility to sit for the PA State approved Nurse Aide Training Program testing and pass within 120 days of employment.
• Working knowledge of computers, MS Word, and Excel required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a Nurse Aide Trainee education program and assist professional nursing staff in resident/patient care according to policies.
• Maintain resident rights, privacy, and confidentiality while supporting treatment goals.
• Work as NAT until passing the state competency examination and transitioning to CNA.
