Job summary

Surry Community College in Dobson, NC seeks a Nurse Aide Program Specialist to provide instructional, administrative, scheduling, clinical, and compliance support for Allied Health programs.

Under the Director of Allied Health, the incumbent develops and manages course, lab, and clinical schedules, liaises with healthcare agencies, maintains compliance records, and delivers student-centered instruction.

Qualifications

• Holds an Unencumbered North Carolina RN license.
• Minimum of Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Minimum of 2 years (4000 hours) RN experience in the United States.
• Minimum of 1-year (2000 hours) in long-term care facility services.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the Director of Allied Health to support daily operations and regulatory approvals.
• Assists with planning and development of course, laboratory, and clinical schedules.
• Teaches a minimum of 8–12 semester hours per semester and substitutes as needed.
• Maintains a positive learning environment and promotes student engagement and retention.
• Serves as liaison between the college and healthcare agencies for clinical experiences.
• Maintains accurate program records for participation and compliance.
• Supports student orientation and administration of exams and credentialing activities.
• Connects students with College services and resources as needed.
• Communicates professionally with students, faculty, staff, clinical partners, and the public.
