Formación

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in nursing and an active RN license in North Carolina.
• Minimum two calendar years of full-time nursing practice.
• Two years supervising Nurse Aides approved by NC DHSR and NC Board of Nursing to teach Nursing Assisting courses.
• Demonstrates ability to teach a range of instructional methods approved by DHSR and to maintain safety standards.
• Requires strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Instructs and guides the class; supervises and evaluates student clinical performance.
• Maintains accurate records of student work and attendance; submits information per policies.
• Prepares thoroughly for each instructional hour for class, lab and clinical.
• Maintains safe, compliant learning environments and lab safety practices.
• Grasdes and returns student work in a timely manner; counsels students on grades and progression.
• Coordinates clinical site rotations and maintains site agreements; ensures documentation is complete and current.
• Develops and aligns classroom materials with course objectives and DHSR guidelines.
• Maintains course curriculum and instructional schedules; updates as needed.
• Establishes goals and maintains updated course materials; keeps regular office hours.
• Stays current with teaching methods and technologies; informs program director of concerns; supports college goals.
