Job summary

Wilco Area Career Center is seeking an instructor to teach all components of the certified nurse aide course for juniors and seniors, including development of curriculum, syllabus, and instructional materials to maximize student success in Nurse Assistant training.

The role requires Illinois educator license, nursing experience with elderly care, and ability to coach in lab and clinical settings; schedule runs 180 days, 7:30 am to 3:00 pm.

Qualifications

• Illinois Educator License with Stipulations ELS (CTEP) – Nurse Aide/Nursing Assistant
• Two years medical-surgical or physical rehab nursing experience with one year focusing on elderly care
• IDPH Train the Trainer and Approved Evaluator certificate
• Ability to coach students in a laboratory and in the clinical setting
• Ability to perform physical work with patients and students in a clinical setting
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations
• Excellent organizational skills
• Skilled in teaching, including clinical instruction
• Possess strong interpersonal skills and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Instruct all components of the certified nurse assistant course of study
• Teach juniors and seniors at Wilco Area Career Center
• Assist with curriculum, syllabus, and instructional materials development
• Support students to achieve academic success in Nurse Assistant training
• Coordinate with clinical and laboratory instruction environments
