The Orchard Ltd is seeking a compassionate caregiver to provide resident care under supervision in Ridgeland, Mississippi. You will assist with bathing, grooming, transfers, and daily living activities while ensuring safety and dignity for each resident.

Qualified candidates hold a CNA license or related experience, can lift 50 lbs, read and write English, and communicate effectively. TB testing and background checks are required, with a focus on compassionate, patient-centered service.

• Licensed CNA, Home Health Aide, or related experience required.
• References documenting caregiver skills and experience.
• Current TB skin test prior to hire and annually thereafter.
• Cleared background check within 2 years.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and read/write English.
• Ability to communicate effectively and show compassion for elderly residents.

Responsabilités

• Document resident activity on approved forms clearly and legibly.
• Provide bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, lifting, transfers, and incontinence care using proper techniques.
• Observe resident condition changes and report safety concerns to supervisor.
• Make rounds to check resident status and respond to call lights promptly.
• Monitor vital signs as trained and assist dining and activity programs.
• Follow safety, infection control policies and resident care plans.
• Communicate with residents, complete necessary paperwork, and maintain cleanliness and equipment.

To provide resident care and activity needs under the supervision of the Department Manager and/or Nurse on duty. To provide care in a manner that promotes the best possible quality of life for the resident while residing at The Orchard.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

Licensed CNA, Home Health Aide, Personal Care Home Maker, or related experience

References documenting skills and experience as a caregiver

Current TB skin test prior to the date of hire then annually

Cleared background check within 2 years

Must be able to lift 50lbs.

Ability to read and write English

Must be able to communicate effectively

Must have compassion for and desire to work with elderly

Ability to perform all duties and responsibilities under essential job functions

Essential Functions

Document resident activity on approved forms in a manner that is legible and understandable

Provide resident care including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, changing bed linens, positioning, transferring, and incontinence care while using appropriate techniques

Observe any changes in resident condition, take action to ensure safety of resident and report to supervisor

Make rounds as directed to check on resident status

Respond to call lights in a timely manner

Vital sign monitoring will be performed as needed by personnel with current training

Assist with dining service and activity program as directed

Understand and follow safety and infection control policies and procedures

Understand and follow resident care plan and document accordingly

Hear, understand, and respond to resident communication

Report incidents and completes appropriate paperwork

Collect, wash, and care for laundry & linens in accordance with The Orchard policy.

Help to properly maintain all equipment, and general facility maintenance & cleanliness

Ensure work areas are clean and safe, ensure policies covering infection control, health and safety, etc. are strictly followed

Ensure compliance and understanding of all regulations and resident rights

Attend all required in-service trainings

Promote and encourage residents to participate in activities

Answer phone appropriately

Meet customer service standards in a friendly, helpful, and courteous manner with resident satisfaction a priority

Ability to distinguish and prioritize duties and resident needs (both emotion & physical) v/s task at hand
