Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota seeks a Nurse Administrator in the Nursing Optimization Division. This leadership role drives workforce optimization, staffing, scheduling, and capacity management across the campus, overseeing multiple nursing and support functions to ensure efficient patient care delivery.

The role partners with nursing, physician, and administrative leaders to align people, processes, and technology, including UKG and LeanTaaS, and supports 24/7 operations with a 1.0 FTE

Qualifications

• Master’s or doctoral degree in nursing, or a bachelor's degree in nursing with a master’s degree in business or a health-related field.
• Doctoral Degree – DNP or PhD in Nursing preferred.
• Will consider applicants meeting all other qualifications who commit to degree completion within six months from application date.
• A minimum of three years in nursing service administration with management responsibilities and previous experience in a clinical practice role is required.
• Current RN license by applicable state requirements.
• Additional state licensure(s) and/or specialty certification/training as required by the work area.

Responsibilities

• The Nurse Administrator provides strategic and operational leadership for workforce optimization, staffing, scheduling, and capacity management across the Rochester, Minnesota campus.
• Oversees a broad portfolio of teams and services essential to daily hospital operations.
• Advances workforce management strategies and optimizes staffing resources to support patient care delivery.
• Provides oversight of workforce management technologies and serves on the Rochester Hospital Operations Command Center (RHOCC).
• Aligns people, processes, and technology to support patient flow, operational efficiency, and high-quality patient care.

Education

Master’s or doctoral degree in nursing, or a bachelor's degree in nursing with a master’s degree in business or a health-related field.

Doctoral Degree – DNP or PhD in Nursing preferred.

Current RN license by applicable state requirements.
