• Plan, direct, coordinate, and evaluate operational, fiscal, and personnel activities to ensure quality patient care 24 hours a day.
• Promote shared decision making on the unit level and foster collaboration across nursing and other health care disciplines.
• Manage total work unit budget and allocate available resources to support safe, efficient care.
• Support ongoing staff development and maintain a professional environment for staff growth.
