Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Nurse Administrator I to provide leadership for nursing units and hospitals, directing patient care services and throughput. You will supervise staffing, ensure safe environments, and collaborate with multiple departments to solve problems across the care continuum.

The role requires RN licensure in Ohio with an associate degree or higher, 2–5 years of clinical nursing experience, and evidence of leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree and RN license required.
• 2–5 years of clinical nursing experience and staffing/scheduling experience.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to administrative functioning of nursing services by reviewing staffing, reassigning and allocating staff to meet changing patient care needs.
• Serves as a clinical resource and role model to nursing staff; ensures safe and equitable working environments; uses information systems to retrieve, implement, and retain essential records and services.
• Interacts with internal and external customers and serves as a resource for information and problem solving (media, patient relations, risk management, security, hospital administration, patients, families).
• Serves as a liaison between nursing services and other hospital departments for problem solving and resolution (Pharmacy, Lab, etc.).
• Coordinates and/or assists with activities during internal and external emergency situations.
