Job summary

Discovery Behavioral Health in Plano, TX, seeks a Nurse Administrator to lead nursing operations, coordinate patient care, and ensure regulatory compliance across shifts. Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an approved nursing program with a current licensure from an appropriate state licensing board. RN licensure is required.
• Preferred: Experience as a staff nurse, preferably in chemical dependency, eating disorders and/or behavioral health.
• Possess and maintain a current Basic Life Support (CPR and First Aid) certification
• Must obtain and maintain CPI certification within 90 days of hire
• Must obtain and maintain CPR, AED, and First Aid, along with ServSafe certification within 30 days of hire.
• Must maintain and possess a current Driver's License and be in good standing
• Knowledge of industry standards and accreditation requirements in nursing practice.

Responsibilities

• Supervises nursing operations and leads staff to align with mission and priorities.
• Conducts face-to-face evaluations for admissions and collaborates with medical providers for orders.
• Maintains a safe environment and 24/7 on-call coverage for patient safety.
• Oversees medication management, MAR audits, and regulatory compliance.
• Develops Nursing Care Plans and ensures timely documentation of patient progress.
• Manages HR processes for nursing staff including hiring, onboarding, and evaluations.
• Ensures compliance with corporate policies, risk management, and regulatory standards.
