Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN) required; MS in Nursing or Health Administration preferred.
• Minimum 5 years as an RN in acute psychiatric, mental health, medical-surgical, or emergency settings.
• Minimum 3 years nursing management or leadership experience.
• Knowledge of Joint Commission, State, and CMS requirements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the nursing staff and the processes of the units.
• Creates, develops, and implements the strategic plan for areas of responsibility.
• Ensures policies and procedures are reviewed regularly and implemented effectively.
• Plays a key role during regulatory surveys and ensures compliance.
• Participates in PI committee meetings and reports data.
• Plans, organizes, and controls risk management activities to ensure a safe environment.
• Develops and improves nursing services to maintain standards of patient care.
• Ensures staffing is adequate for areas of responsibility to provide quality care.
