Job summary

Spectrum Health Systems, Inc. is hiring for outpatient treatment programs in Milford, MA. The role requires a Massachusetts Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to work 32 hours a week managing medication administration and client education. Ideal candidates have experience in substance abuse or mental health.

Responsibilities also include verifying medication orders and assisting in client admissions. A $5,000 bonus is offered along with health, dental, and tuition reimbursement benefits.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) required.
• CPR certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Schedule

32 hours a week, 5:30am-2:00pm every other Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and every other Saturday

Pay rate

$33.00/hour (LPN), $36.00/hour (RN) + $3.00 weekend shift differential

Responsibilities

• Administering medication to clients as outlined in medication administration policy.
• The control, counting and appropriate documentation of onsite medication.
• Educating clients on use, purpose, side effects, and other information relating to medication assisted treatment.
• Verifying medication orders with the physician and transcribes physician’s orders.
• Assisting in the admission process and documents substance use diagnosis as required.

Qualifications

• Must be a Massachusetts Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN).
• Must have a current CPR certificate or obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
• Must display the use of appropriate independent judgment to determine appropriate course of action in resolving problems and in emergencies.
• Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral communication and to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary, culturally diverse setting with clients, families, staff and regulatory agencies.
• Experience in substance abuse/mental health field or an acute care inpatient healthcare environment preferred.
