Job summary

Spectrum Health Systems in Haverhill, MA is seeking a per diem Nurse (LPN or RN) for our Outpatient Treatment Program. The role involves medication administration, order verification with physicians, and client education on MAT, in a 1st shift/day setting.

CPR certification within 90 days is required, with a valid MA driver’s license. The position offers pay rates of $35.00/hour for LPN and $37.00/hour for RN, plus a $3.00/hour weekend differential, in a per diem arrangement at our outpatient

Qualifications

• Must hold valid MA LPN or RN license.
• Current CPR certificate or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Demonstrated judgment for appropriate actions in emergencies.
• Clear written and verbal communication in a multidisciplinary setting.
• Experience in substance abuse/mental health or acute care preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications per policy.
• Control, count, and document onsite medications.
• Educate clients on medication use, purpose, side effects, and MAT information.

Responsibilities

• Administering medication to clients as outlined in medication administration policy.
• The control, counting and appropriate documentation of onsite medication.
• Educating clients on use, purpose, side effects, and other information relating to medication assisted treatment.
• Verifying medication orders with the physician and transcribes physician’s orders.
• Assisting in the admission process and documents substance use diagnosis as required.

Qualifications

• Must be a MA Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN).
• Must have a current CPR certificate or obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
• Must display the use of appropriate independent judgment to determine appropriate course of action in resolving problems and in emergencies.
• Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral communication and to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary, culturally diverse setting with clients, families, staff and regulatory agencies.
• Experience in substance abuse/mental health field or an acute care inpatient healthcare environment preferred.
• Must have a valid Driver's License.
