Job summary

Spectrum Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse for our Outpatient Treatment Program in Millbury, MA. The role includes medication administration, accurate onsite medication documentation, and client education about medications used in treatment.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate independent judgment to select appropriate actions in emergencies or problems.

Responsibilities

• Administering medications to clients per policy.
• Control, count, and document onsite medications.

• Verify medication orders with physician and transcribe orders.
• Assist in admission and document substance use diagnoses as required.

Location: Millbury - Outpatient Treatment Program

Schedule: Part-time. 16 hours a week,5:00am-1:30pm every other Monday, every Thursday and every other Saturday

Pay rate: $33.00/hour (LPN), $36.00/hour (RN). + $3.00 weekend shift differential

The Licensed Practical Nurse/Registered Nurse is responsible for:

• Administering medication to clients as outlined in medication administration policy.
• The control, counting and appropriate documentation of onsite medication.
• Educating clients on use, purpose, side effects, and other information relating to medication assisted treatment.
• Verifying medication orders with the physician and transcribes physician's orders.
• Assisting in the admission process and documents substance use diagnosis as required.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Must be a Massachusetts Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN).
• Must have a current CPR certificate or obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
• Must display the use of appropriate independent judgment to determine appropriate course of action in resolving problems and in emergencies.
• Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral communication and to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary, culturally diverse setting with clients, families, staff and regulatory agencies.
• Experience in substance abuse/mental health field or an acute care inpatient healthcare environment preferred.
