Job summary

Barnstorm VFX in Los Angeles seeks an experienced Nuke Compositor to join a fast-paced studio with film and episodic projects. You will integrate elements with production footage using rotoscoping, keying, painting, tracking and other compositing techniques.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in photo-real VFX, strong knowledge of Nuke, Mocha or Silhouette preferred, and excellent communication to collaborate with leads, supervisors, and clients under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• 3+ years working in photo-real VFX on film and/or episodic.
• 3+ years episodic experience preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of Nuke compositing.
• Mocha and Silhouette experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication within a team.
• Understanding of feature film and television VFX pipelines.
• Ability to interpret supervisor and client notes.

Responsibilities

• Integrate elements with production footage using rotoscoping, keying, painting, tracking and other compositing techniques.
• Collaborate with leads, supervisors and artists across departments under tight deadlines.
• Deliver high-quality work and troubleshoot technical problems on shots.
• Strive for excellence in both aesthetic and technical work.
• Take direction from supervisors, leads and VFX producers to meet client vision.
