Job summary

The City of Dallas is seeking a Supervisor – Code Nuisance Abatement to oversee, supervise, and coordinate maintenance programs citywide, including landscaping, bulk trash removal, and graffiti abatement. The role requires familiarity with heavy equipment, scheduling abatement cases, and proficiency with field service apps like Salesforce.

Responsibilities include directing crews, ensuring safety and productivity, coaching staff, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Five (5) years of experience in code compliance, equipment operation, and/or grounds maintenance, including at least two (2) years of supervisory responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Implements plans and schedules; communicates with management on projects; ensures equipment and supplies are available.
• Assigns and evaluates workers; directs work through crew leaders; provides coaching as needed.
• Ensures production goals are met and maintains tool/equipment cleanliness; oversees site cleanup.
• Provides quality customer service by communicating with customers and responding to issues timely.
• Provides on-the-job training and leadership; assists with timekeeping; supports staff development.
• Estimates personnel needs and assigns work to meet deadlines.
• Finds and implements methods to improve production; ensures disposal activities meet regulations.
• Performs other duties as needed.
