Job summary

Nucor Data Systems seeks a Human Resources Generalist to join the on-site Madison location. The HR Generalist will be part of the NDS HR Team and will handle payroll processing, job postings, onboarding/termination processing, benefits, leave administration, and training coordination.

The successful candidate should have 3 years HR experience, 2 years payroll/tax experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

Qualifications

• 3 years of Human Resource experience.
• 2 years payroll/payroll tax experience.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Must not have any family currently working for Nucor Data Systems.

Responsibilities

• Payroll processing (weekly payroll, bonus payroll, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual tax reporting).
• Job postings and onboarding/termination processing.
• Benefits administration and leave of absence compliance with Nucor, federal, and state regulations.
• Organizing teammate training opportunities and employment-related programs including events and outreach efforts.
• Assisting with compliance training and preparation of required reports while ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
• Preparing teammate communications and notices concerning HR functions; maintain teammate data in the HRIS system.
• Traveling to other sites as needed; performing other HR duties in support of the NDS HR Team.
• Aligning with the vision of the product group and upholding Nucor's Mission and Culture.

Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Data Systems seeks qualified candidates for the position of Human Resources Generalist. The HR Generalist will be part of the NDS HR Team and will be located onsite at NDS Madison location.The successful candidate will be responsible for all HR related functions, including payroll processing (weekly payroll, bonus payroll, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual tax reporting); job postings; the onboarding/termination processing; all benefit administration; leave of absence in compliance with Nucor, federal, and state regulations; organizing and communicating teammate training opportunities, employment-related programs including events and outreach efforts; assisting with compliance training and preparation of required reports while ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness; preparing teammate communications and notices concerning HR functions; maintain teammate data in the HRIS system; traveling to other sites as needed; and performing other HR duties in assistance of the whole NDS HR Team. The successful candidate will be aligned with, and support, the vision of the product group, and conducting themselves in a manner that is consistent with Nucor's Mission and Culture.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3 years of Human Resource experience
• 2 years payroll/payroll tax experience
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel
• Due to the sensitivity and confidentiality required of the position, candidates must nothave any family currenting working for Nucor Data Systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with SAP and SuccessFactors
• Experience in recruiting for entry level, specialist, and professional roles
• Degree in business or related discipline
• Experience in manufacturing or steel industry
