Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC is seeking a Reactor Vessel Internals Engineer 2 in Cranberry Township, PA, with a hybrid schedule of 2–3 days on site. You will provide technical support for reactor vessel internals design and analysis, reporting to the Manager of Reactor Vessel Internals and Component Design.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical/Aerospace/Engineering Mechanics, 2–5 years in a related field, FE Exam, and strong technical writing.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Mechanics or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of mechanical field experience (aeronautics, nuclear, special machines).
• Completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam.
• Must have technical writing skills.
• 1+ year of experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA), including nonlinear analysis if possible.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical calculations and evaluations using engineering tools and methods.
• Develop documentation related to calculations and analyses.
• Develop design documentation for safety and non-safety hardware, including drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with technical leads, project managers, and customers on the assigned scope.
• Occasionally travel to customer and vendor sites for on-site support, presentations, and issue resolution.
