Job summary

The role reports to the Manager, Transient Analysis and offers hybrid work arrangements.

The position requires a BS in Chemical, Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering with at least 5 years of relevant experience and experience in accident/safety analysis.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Nuclear Engineering required.
• Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience or equivalent.
• Experience in accident/safety analysis in a comparable nuclear engineering field.

Responsibilities

• Develop and assess models and correlations for prediction of two-phase flow and heat transfer phenomena.
• Perform nuclear reactor safety analysis and develop methodologies for design basis accidents.
• Perform reload safety evaluations for each plant cycle and consider licensing bases and analyses of record.
• Serve as a point of contact for plant-specific non-LOCA or containment analysis inquiries from internal and external customers.
• Evaluate impacts of plant modifications and operating changes on the design analysis.
