Job summary

CB1149 GE Vernova Hitachi SMR Technologies Canada, Ltd. seeks a seasoned program leader to develop and deliver a multi-phased training program for commercial nuclear operators and technicians for a new generation of reactors.

The role covers Human Performance Engineering, Curriculum Development, simulation training, courseware, and learner management. You will set regulatory-compliance strategy, coordinate with Canada and US programs, build partnerships, ensure alignment with nuclear standards,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university or college.
At least 10 years of experience in BWR operations.
At least 5 years of experience as SRO.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic direction and guidance related to regulatory compliance for a Systematic Approach to Training.
Develop integrated training plans to support plant start-up and operations, covering US and Canada programs.
Establish and maintain relationships with key partners on the program.
Develop strategy for resource needs for initial development and long-term partnerships.
Provide technical direction for all phases of new training development.
Develop innovative training approaches, including remote/VR environments and simulator-based training.
Support customer activities, program reviews on cost, schedule and technical performance.
Promote Nuclear Culture of Safety and training effectiveness.
