Job summary

DTE Energy is seeking a Nuclear Instructor to analyze, design, develop, and evaluate training using the SAT model. You will guide students in initial Operations and Technical training, working with the line organization to identify performance gaps and deliver professional instruction.

The role requires experience with nuclear training programs, accreditation maintenance, and collaboration with regulatory bodies. A strong emphasis on quality, safety, and continuous improvement is expected.

Qualifications

• Education/experience requirements span multiple tracks: High School + 5 years, Associate + 3 years, Bachelor + 1 year in related industry.
• Discipline areas include Instrument & Controls, Engineering, Chemistry, Radiation Protection, Electrical or Mechanical Maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Coaches and mentors field SME presenters to maximize student benefit and instructor effectiveness.
• Conducts training following Nuclear Training procedures and industry best practices.
• Prepares training materials and presentations to improve client performance.
• Represents training on Curriculum Review Committees for Operations or Technical disciplines.
• Interfaces with NRC and INPO to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Maintains National Academy of Nuclear Training accreditation for assigned programs.
• Performs performance gap analyses to identify training needs and improvements.
• Evaluates Training Program Effectiveness through data analysis and trending.
• Responds to management observations and trainee feedback with corrective actions.
• Tracks student performance and program effectiveness; leads self-assessments.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

Associate degree in science/engineering/education
