Job summary

Orano TN in Kernersville, NC seeks a Project Engineer to lead design, procurement, fabrication, integration and qualification of spent nuclear fuel storage systems. You will be the primary interface between subcontractors, customers and design teams to ensure contractual and safety requirements are met.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering or Engineering Technology with 2–3 years related experience (MS/MBA can substitute 1–2 years).
• Strong problem solving and prioritization能力.
• Excellent communication with vendors, customers and regulatory bodies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare procurement specs, functional requirements, integration, test and qualification plans for spent nuclear fuel storage and related systems.
• Oversee subcontractor fabrication reviews to ensure contractual and design requirements are met.
• Prepare fabrication documents and support fabrication activities at Orano TN facilities.
• Support design efforts for new products to improve fabricability and operability.
• Provide technical direction and oversee subcontractors for design changes and non-conformance evaluations.
• Design non-safety related equipment and visit facilities to gather design information.
• Support field operations, licensing activities, and proposal preparation.
