Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation seeks a Mechanical Engineer Intern in Nuclear Systems in Overland Park, KS. As a summer intern you will contribute to the design of mechanical equipment and systems for nuclear projects and gain hands-on experience across disciplines.

Qualifications

• No experience required; enrolled in ABET-accredited mechanical or chemical engineering program.
• Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, MVR) per laws.
• Must be able to work in an office full-time.

Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate, and design specifications and contract drawings
• Perform variety of tasks to support engineering analyses, report production, and designs
• Prepare basic calculations
• Assist in basic equipment selection
• Coordinate with other disciplines
• Collect, organize, and evaluate data
• Organize and file project materials and references
