Job summary

AAF International is seeking an experienced Nuclear Solutions Engineer to design and deliver engineered air filtration and ventilation systems for nuclear facilities worldwide. You will ensure compliance with NRC/DOE/DOD standards while coordinating with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.

The role emphasizes mechanical and systems engineering, project support from concept to installation, and strong collaboration with sales and regulatory affairs to drive safe, reliable, and compliant

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Nuclear, Chemical Engineering or closely related field.
• 5+ years of nuclear industry experience, preferably with air filtration or safety-related systems.
• Experience interpreting drawings and technical documents; ability to perform engineering calculations.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to projects from concept to installation and commissioning.
• Modify standard products for nuclear-grade applications per customer specs and codes.
• Review customer specifications for risks, compliance, and opportunities.
• Provide technical support to customers, sales teams, and agents to optimize system performance.
• Perform mechanical, fluid dynamic, and system-level analyses (pressure drops, flow, safety).
• Prepare quotations, costing docs, and technical proposals for bids.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders in technical and commercial discussions.
• Manage relationships with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure timely delivery.
• Troubleshoot in-service equipment and recommend improvements.
• Identify trends for new product development and regulatory alignment.
• Represent the company at industry events and regulatory discussions.
