AAF International seeks an experienced Nuclear Solutions Engineer to join a specialized team delivering custom-engineered air filtration, ventilation, and related systems for nuclear applications worldwide. You will support projects from concept through installation, ensuring compliance with NRC/DOE/DOD requirements and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Nuclear, or Chemical Engineering.
• 5+ years of nuclear industry experience, preferably with air filtration or safety-related systems.
• Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and specifications.
• Experience with quotations, costing, and technical–commercial interactions.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally; U.S. citizenship or security-clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to projects from concept through commissioning and installation.
• Modify standard products to meet unique customer needs using drawings and specs.
• Review customer specifications for technical and commercial compliance and risks.
• Provide expert technical guidance to customers, sales teams, and agents.
• Perform mechanical, fluid and system-level calculations (pressure drops, flow, safety).
• Prepare quotes, costing documents, and technical proposals for bids.
• Engage in meetings with clients, sales, and internal stakeholders.
• Manage relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, and third-party vendors.
• Troubleshoot in-service equipment and recommend improvements.
• Represent the company at industry events and regulatory discussions.
