Job summary

The Nuclear Company is seeking a Siting Engineer to own site development life cycle from screening to license and design integration. You will ensure continuity of site knowledge across Origination and Development, producing licensing-grade documentation and coordinating with regulatory requirements.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on field investigation experience, fluency with NRC siting regulations, and the ability to travel regularly to project sites.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Nuclear Engineering, or related discipline (Master's preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Origination Support & FEL 0 Handoff: provide technical siting support during screening and validate site packages
  • Site Characterization (FEL 1–3): scope and manage geotechnical, geological, seismological, hydrological, and ecological investigations
  • Licensing & Environmental Support: prepare ESP/COL inputs and engage with NRC through pre-application activities
  • Construction Transition: translate site characterization into construction readiness and support geotechnical baseline reporting
  • AI & Technology: leverage NOS, GIS, and data analytics to accelerate characterization and decision-making
