Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Industrial Safety Specialist III at the Hanford site near Richland, WA. Under minimal supervision, you will lead safety programs, ensure compliance with federal/state regulations, and support line management to prevent accidents and injuries.

You will develop hazard controls, conduct incident investigations, deliver training, and provide regulatory interpretation to sustain a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Requires BS/MS in Safety, Health or Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering.
• 4+ years related experience with BS or 2+ years with MS; CSP preferred.
• Associates degree in Safety/Industrial Hygiene with 6+ years related experience.
• HS Diploma with 8+ years related experience.

Responsibilities

• Support Waste Treatment Plant Nuclear Safety Quality Culture and emphasize safety in work.
• Provide technical assistance to ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
• Conduct compliance evaluations of equipment, structures and work in progress.
• Develop hazard controls and mitigation strategies; oversee implementation.
• Assist with development, implementations and maintenance of IS programs.
