Job summary

Blue Energy is seeking a BIM Modeler & Renderer to join its engineering team in Chevy Chase, MD. You will develop preliminary site plans and 3D models for potential nuclear plant projects, translating design changes from lead engineers into accurate plant layouts.

You will render high-quality visuals using AutoCAD Plant 3D, Navisworks, and 3ds Max for investor meetings, landowners, and stakeholders, while coordinating with the business development team on site requirements and constraints.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with 3D modeling software.
• Proficiency in rendering software and GIS terrain modeling.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and site development.
• Excellent visual communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Render 3D models from Navisworks Manage for public forums.
• Develop 3D models in AutoCAD Plant 3D for various sites.
• Retrieve and map sites and their terrain features in 3D modelling software.
• Create preliminary site layouts for potential nuclear plant locations.
• Generate high-quality visualizations and renderings for presentations to landowners, offtakers, and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the business development team to understand site requirements and constraints.
• Incorporate a standard SMR plant configuration into site-specific models.
• Maintain a library of standardized plant components and modules for rapid site modelling.
• Produce marketing-quality renderings and animations for commercial presentations.
• Support proposal development with visual materials and site feasibility assessments.
• Create fly-through animations and interactive presentations for stakeholder meetings.
• Coordinate with the engineering team to ensure commercial models reflect current design standards.
• Develop site comparison studies and visual alternatives for business development decisions.
