Job summary

APTIM Federal Services seeks a Safety Professional to support nuclear decommissioning work in Los Alamos, NM. You will implement HSE policies, oversee safety activities on site, and work with a multi-disciplined team to manage radiological and RCRA D&D tasks.

Requirements include eight years of safety and industrial hygiene experience, a relevant Bachelor's degree, and knowledge of OSHA Construction standards; CSP/CIH/CHMM preferred.

Qualifications

• Eight years of safety and industrial hygiene experience with a relevant Bachelor's degree
• Working knowledge of OSHA Construction Industry standards
• CSP, CIH, CHMM or equivalent certification preferred
• Experience in radiological and environmental decontamination and decommissioning fields is a plus

Responsibilities

• Implement HSE policies and procedures
• Ability to interpret and apply OSHA standards
• HSE surveys and audits, maintain HSE documentation
• Collect and analyze HSE metrics
• Conduct accident investigations, participate in the safety committee
• Provide safety field oversight of production personnel involved in radiological and RCRA D&D activities
