Qualifications

  • Experience in radiation protection principles and practices.

  • Knowledge of DOE and NRC orders/regulations.
  • Experience with protective clothing and respirators for radiological hazards.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple complex activities and priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide routine radiation monitoring support for assigned locations.
  • Mentor junior technicians in radiological protection techniques.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation and reports of monitoring activities.
  • Implement radiation protection procedures for a wide range of tasks.
  • Coordinate radiation work permits and responses to emergencies.
  • Drive and be insurable to operate government vehicles.
