Job summary

NANO Nuclear Energy in the United States seeks a Nuclear Engineer, Safety Analysis to advance reactor design safety analyses within the Safety Analysis group. You will develop methods, models, and data to assess safety performance and collaborate with engineering to meet safety goals.

This role emphasizes independent analysis, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and clear technical communication with stakeholders, NRC, and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Must have strong foundations in reactor physics, thermal hydraulics, safety analysis, fuel performance or materials performance.
• Demonstrated ability to develop models, perform analyses, and interpret results.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills for technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop methods, models, and data to analyze reactor system safety performance.
• Provide feedback to reactor engineering on materials selection and system requirements.
• Participate in team-wide engineering efforts and respond to NRC questions.

Education

MS/PhD in Nuclear Engineering or related field

BS in Nuclear Engineering or related field
