Radiant, based in El Segundo, CA, seeks a Senior Safety Analysis Engineer to lead reactor safety analyses for Kaleidos. You will model reactor behavior under normal and accident conditions, evaluate safety margins, and support regulatory submissions with robust technical documentation.

The role combines reactor systems, fuel performance, and radiological consequence assessments, requiring independent ownership of complex projects and strong communication with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nuclear or mechanical engineering from an accredited institution.
• 5+ years in reactor safety analysis or related thermal-hydraulics roles.
• Experience with safety analysis codes and deterministic safety analyses.

Responsibilities

• Lead deterministic reactor safety analyses for operations, transients, and accidents.
• Develop thermal-hydraulic models to evaluate reactor response and margins.
• Perform source term and radiological consequence analyses.
• Assess uncertainties and apply phenomena-ranking methods.
• Prepare calculation packages and regulatory documentation.
