Job summary

Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) is seeking a Senior Safeguards & Security Specialist to ensure policy decisions meet MSTS and DOE regulations. You will report to the Technical Analysis & Planning Manager and lead security plan development for sites, facilities, and projects.

The role requires coordination with Vulnerability Analysts, review of blueprints, and liaison with DOE and federal agencies. Expect pre-employment drug testing, Q clearance, and potential relocation to NNSS (65 miles

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent training and experience plus a minimum of 5 years of progressive related experience.
Experience ensuring compliance with DOE/MSTS or equivalent regulations.
Experience developing and implementing site-, facility-, and project-specific security plans and procedures.
Knowledge of vulnerability assessment methodologies and risk mitigation.
Understanding of physical access control, IDS, and Lock and Key Control operations.

Responsibilities

Develop, coordinate, and/or assist with implementation of site, facility, and project specific security plans, policies and procedures.
Collaborate with Vulnerability Analysts in development and revision of Security Analyses.
Provide facility security representative services and Lock and Key Control Officer duties.
Coordinate security services/requests with Cyber Security, Communications Security, and other teams.
Lead strategic planning and implementation of security plans and procedures.
