Job summary

MSTS, the operator of the Nevada National Security Site, seeks a Senior Safeguards & Security Specialist to ensure DOE/MSTS compliance across security programs. You will lead development of site- and project-specific security plans, coordinate with cyber and physical security teams, and represent MSTS during external assessments.

Must be able to obtain a DOE Q clearance and relocate to NNSS as needed. The role requires strong analytical, communication, and policy-interpretation skills, with

Qualifications

• Security policy decisions and procedures must comply with DOE/MSTS regulations.
• Experience developing site-, facility-, and project-specific security plans.
• Ability to perform risk assessments and mitigation with analysts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement site, facility, and project-specific security plans.
• Collaborate with Vulnerability Analysts on Security Analyses.
• Serve as security SME during external assessments and reviews.
• Coordinate security services with Cyber and Technical Security teams.
• Lead development and implementation of security policies and procedures.
• Act as security POC during construction activities and review drawings for vulnerabilities.
• Represent the Facility Security Representative for NNSS facilities.
• Assist in subcontractor security integration and compliance.
