Job summary

Centrus Energy in Piketon, Ohio is seeking a Reliability Engineer to strengthen the reliability, availability, and performance of plant equipment across our advanced nuclear fuel operations.

You will analyze failures, drive preventive and predictive maintenance, and work with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Projects to reduce downtime and improve safety.

Candidates should have RCFA experience, CMMS familiarity, and the ability to obtain a Q clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
• 5+ years of engineering, maintenance, reliability, or industrial operations experience.
• 2+ years in a nuclear, high-hazard, or highly regulated environment.
• Experience in RCFA and implementing corrective actions.
• Knowledge of preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance.
• Experience interpreting equipment data and identifying improvement opportunities.
• Familiarity with rotating equipment, pumps, compressors, motors, valves, and process systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Q clearance.

Responsibilities

• Improve the reliability, availability, and performance of plant equipment by analyzing failures and reliability risks.
• Implement engineering solutions that reduce downtime and optimize maintenance strategies.
• Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Projects to perform root cause analyses and develop preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Monitor equipment health, evaluate new technologies, and support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety and plant performance.
