Job summary

Deep Fission in Parsons, Kansas seeks a Reactor Operator to enter the Initial Operator Training pipeline, earn licensure, and stand watch as the licensed operator with final authority on shift. You will help write procedures and training programs for a first-of-a-kind plant as the design and pre-licensing phase continues.

This role requires rotating 12-hour shifts, relocation to Parsons with relocation support, and travel up to 20 percent for team offsites and site visits.

Qualifications

• NRC Reactor Operator or Senior Reactor Operator license required or held.
• Military reactor operator experience required; post-qualification minutes in equivalent roles.
• SRO Instructor certification with relevant facility experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete all phases of Initial Operator Training with classroom, simulator, and on-the-job training.
• Perform licensed operator functions on shift, including reactor startups and shutdowns.
• Develop, review, and validate operating and emergency procedures and training materials.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute Operations perspective across teams.
