Job summary

Vistra Nuclear Operations Company in Oak Harbor, Ohio is seeking a Sr. Reactor Operator - In Training who will complete Initial License Training at Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station.

On completion, you will pursue and obtain an NRC Senior Reactor Operator license and supervise reactor operations. The role involves directing Reactor Operators and Equipment Operators, implementing Emergency Operating procedures, and working a rotating 12-hour shift schedule including nights, weekends and holidays,

Qualifications

• HSD or equivalent with reactor operation licenses or equivalent experience.
• Paths include licensed operator status or validated military reactor experience.
• Engineering or physical sciences degree preferred for advanced tracks.

Responsibilities

• Authorize maintenance and testing to ensure equipment status.
• Direct reactor operators and field personnel to control plant operations.
• Implement Emergency Operating Procedures and stabilize the plant during incidents.
• Review design changes for procedure impact and support outages.
• Coordinate shift coverage on rotating 12-hour schedules.
