Job summary

Constellation Energy Corp. seeks a qualified operator to obtain and maintain NRC license status for reactor-turbine operation. The role involves rotating shifts, observing control instruments, and ensuring regulatory compliance across station systems.

You will support senior operators, perform required inspections, and participate in emergency procedures. Nuclear facility experience and unescorted access are required.

Qualifications

• Must possess an NRC license or be able to obtain one prior to operating plant systems.
• Experience with plant operation, monitoring, and control room procedures.
• Must pass POSS examination and BMST as part of screening process.
• Educational credentials may require transcripts for degree verification.
• Location must permit unescorted site access at a nuclear facility.

Responsibilities

• Observe and operate generating station auxiliary equipment as directed.
• Inspect gland seal pressures on main turbine generator units and adjust as needed.
• Perform routine checks on water and steam transfer equipment.
• Inspect relays in auxiliary power centers and respond to automatic trips.
• Operate equipment manually when remote control is unavailable or during emergencies.
• Troubleshoot control circuits and switching devices in maintenance contexts.
• Manage electrical switching and startup/shutdown of systems as required.
• Monitor feed water heaters and secondary plant equipment like HVAC systems.
• Inspect transformers, switchgear, and batteries; record readings and maintain charge.
• Operate water treatment and chemical feed systems; record measurements.
• Sample and monitor oils, hydraulics, and related systems; conduct field checks.
• Train and coordinate others; participate in site activities beyond control room.
