Responsibilities

• Assist with monitoring nuclear reactor cores.
• Analyze trend data from the reactor.
• Assist with process improvements to enhance core and nuclear fuel monitoring.
• Review nuclear core and plant reactor daily trend data.
• Generate procedure change requests for reactor engineering procedures.
• Assist with new nuclear fuel receipt.
• Improve or automate data collection and analysis related to reactor core components and thermal limits.
• Work in the reactor engineering group covering the Prairie Island and Monticello nuclear plants.

Requirements

• Current student, Junior or higher
• Enrolled in an accredited college or university
• Pursuing a degree in Nuclear Engineering
• Able to work full-time during the summer, up to 40 hours a week
• Able to work part time during the school year, up to 20 hours a week
• Able to commute to the designated work location in-person, per the hybrid work policy
• Interest in the energy industry and the future of energy
