Job summary

Texas Children's is seeking a Nuclear Radiology Generalist to operate in a fast-paced radiology setting. You will integrate scientific knowledge with technical skills, patient interaction and compassionate care to generate diagnostic information and recognize conditions essential to completing procedures.

The role requires understanding anatomy, physiology and medical terminology, with emphasis on radiation safety and reliable data entry in imaging systems.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a formal diagnostic Radiology program.
• CMRT Certification and CT-ARRT registration required (deadline provided in policy).
• CNMT or N-ARRT registration required.

Responsibilities

• Assess contraindications and patient risk before procedures.
• Provide information to patients and health care teams about the role and responsibilities.
• Apply ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure.
• Perform high-quality imaging and use shielding appropriately.
• Ensure accurate data entry and image management in EPIC, PACS, etc.
• Recognize emergencies and initiate procedures.
• Participate in continuing education and trainings.
• Build rapport within the department and coordinate activities.
