Job summary

Standard Nuclear in Idaho Falls is seeking a Quality Engineer to support the QMS, ensure manufacturing processes, materials, and products meet internal and regulatory standards. You will lead root cause analysis, CAPA, and process improvements in a regulated manufacturing environment to strengthen product quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical or related field.
• 3+ years in quality engineering within regulated manufacturing.
• Experience with NQA-1, ISO 9001, AS9100 or similar standards.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specs.
• Experience with structured root-cause methods (5 Whys, Fishbone).
• Hands-on use of calipers, micrometers, gauges, or similar tools.
• Strong documentation and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality controls to meet specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Lead root cause investigations for nonconformances and quality events.
• Implement CAPA and verify effectiveness.
• Support continuous improvement to strengthen quality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to improve processes and documentation.
• Support audits, supplier quality, and calibration of inspection tools.
