Job summary

Kiewit Nuclear Solutions in Lenexa, KS invites an entry-level Quality Specialist to join the Quality team. You will oversee quality performance across projects, ensure adherence to procedures, and liaise with customers, vendors, and subcontractors on quality matters.

You will lead quality assurance and control activities, support audits, and promote continual improvement while complying with safety and regulatory requirements. Travel to project sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Four-year bachelor's degree in engineering or science, or technical college degree with two years' construction experience.
• Clear ability to communicate the status of quality on a project.
• Strong writing and technical reporting skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks with deadlines.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain effective communications with district management, project management teams and engineers/clients.
• Examine and inspect field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies and cost saving measures; take corrective action as needed.
• Identify potential safety hazards and take all necessary corrective actions to eliminate or minimize them.
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of the Kiewit Quality Management System and procedures and promote standardization.
• Manage Welding Procedure Specification log and files for assigned districts.
• Assist in conducting project quality audits and reports.
