Job summary

Kiewit Nuclear Solutions is seeking an entry-level Quality Project Coordinator to report to management on quality performance across projects. You will lead QA/QC activities, ensure adherence to procedures, and liaison with customers, vendors and subcontractors to address quality issues.

The role emphasizes strong communication, documentation, and teamwork within a dynamic nuclear projects team across North America.

Qualifications

  • At least a four years bachelor’s degree in engineering or science; or technical college degree plus two years’ experience in related construction field.
  • Must be able to clearly communicate the status of quality on a project.
  • Excellent communication and technical writing skills, ability to research and work with detailed/technical matters and convey/explain the information to field personnel.
  • Ability to work in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and SharePoint software programs as well as able to quickly learn other software applications.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to perform a variety of tasks with deadlines and potentially frequent interruptions.
  • Eligibility for this position requires sole US citizenship; provide proof of US citizenship to obtain badge access.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and maintain effective communications with district management, project management teams and engineers/clients.
  • Examine and inspect field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies and cost-saving measures; take corrective action.
  • Identify potential safety hazards and take corrective actions to eliminate or minimize them.
  • Maintain knowledge of the Kiewit Quality Management System and promote standardization.
  • Manage Welding Procedure Specification log and files for assigned districts.
  • Assist in conducting project quality audits and reports.
